of Saul to defeat the Philistines who had Goliath with them and so made provision for a capable saviour, David. Prior to this, God had rejected Saul for his unfaithfulness.

Leaders too must be faithfull, honest,obedient and Godfearing to succeed. God is the source of all that is Good, He also is the one who knows exactly the solution to problem(s) of the people, therefore a Godfearing leader/person is a successes-getting/receiving person. King Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles19:9-11) told the leaders he appointed, " You must perform your duties in reverence to the LORD, faithfully obeying him in everything you do. Whenever a case is brought before you.. you must instruct the people/person carefully on how to conduct themselves.. so that they would not sin against God." This meant that it was important that the leaders of the people and the people themselves are pleasing to God (this mean doing the right things). King Jehoshaphat (2 Chronicles 19:11) also assigned to each Leader his duty(ies). He said, "Amariah the High Priest will have final authority in all religious cases, and Zebadiah..(governor of Judah), will have final athority in all civil cases. The Levites have the responsibility of seeing that the decisions of the courts are carried out..." This meant that in order to ensure order in administration every leader should be able to know his duties and also the limits of his power(s).

Some other important qualities of a community leader (1 Timothy 3) are:

The Leader must be fautless.

He/She must be self-controlled and orderly.

Must be able to communicate well with the people.

Must love the people and God (God-fearing).

He must love and teach the truth at all times. Leaders should also be prayerfull and be humble enough to admit his fault(s) to God for his mercies and forgiveness when they are wrong. (You can see Ezra 8:15-22. Leaders also should not tolerate wrongdoing since they know that such wrongs are of no help to anyone; instead the wrongs brings down God's anger/punishment on the wrongdoer which can also affect the community.

Every member of a community is a leader since leaders never govern alone but with constant communication and needed interaction with their people( members of their community), moreso, the good of the community/group is the aim of any properly constituted/correct leadership- the information received from the members and sent to their higher officers(leaders) are what is utilised in forming the rules and policies that guide/direct the community. In situations were some leaders are weak or deficient, other capable persons with wisdom/Spirit of God are employed (utilised) to save the people out of the unpleasing situation. Samson, David, Samuel, Gideon, etc were all used at different times by God to save the Israelites from their problems. It is my prayer that God continues to give us capable + Godfearing persons and leaders who will be available to save us from all our problems in Jesus name. Amen.

I also pray that God will help all our leaders everywhere to perform their duties well and that He gives us successes and joys that we want in our lives/living in Jesus name. Amen
