Leaders/Leadership
A leader is a person who leads a group of people. He knows exactly the right things to do. He could be appointed by someone or chosen by a group of people to help direct or manage their resources for them. They are needed when there is need for direction in a group.Since earliest times God had always been the Leader of his people, as his people increased (multiplied), he appointed (chose) some capable persons to help him manage/direct his people. Without this human leaders who live with the people, speak/understand their language(s) and the people's lifestyle, community life would be difficult, moreover the duty of passing on needed instructions that can help the people may be impossible. (Biblical reference-Numbers 11:16-25). Leaders make the work of administration easier in the community. In the passage cited (Numbers 11), Moses was finding it difficult to manage the people and God told him to pick some persons to help him. Capable Leaders are needed in times of difficulty or disorder to steer the people /the community away from their problem.
